With over 20 years of national and international production experience, including 10 years in Canada’s Northwest Territories, Black Fly Studios offers full HD shooting, editing and productions services in the Beaufort Delta.
The Inuvialuit Communications Society was established in the early 80s and has produced and broadcast its shows on APTN, Uvagut TV, and Inuit TV. We work to preserve and promote Inuvialuit language and culture by recording and sharing our stories and experiences. We have a production department that consists of a camera operator and director of photography, and television producers specializing in all aspects of documentary film production and local and cultural consultation.

Laurie has more than 20 years experience as a producer in television and documentaries, and as a writer on northern political and socio-economic issues. She can provide logistical support, casting, script writing, communications and productions skills to any project. She’s lived off the grid outside of Yellowknife since moving to the North, so can provide valuable advice about requirements for remote projects.
