Northerners are known for their hospitality and there are plenty of accommodations to choose from.

Emergency Services
The NWT has four hospitals and 28 health centres that provide insured hospital service. A directory of healthcare facilities across the territory is available online. 911 service is now available in all communities the NWT.

Cellular Coverage
Coverage isn’t available in some communities in the NWT and can be spotty across the territory. Bell Canada is the major carrier in the region.
Radio/TV
CBC Radio and CKLB (Native Communications Society) broadcast in all communities. Yellowknife and Hay River are also serviced by a commercial broadcaster (100.1 True North FM). Radio Taiga (French language) also provides local service in Yellowknife.
CBC Television and APTN are available in most communities as well as most national and international channels, via cable or satellite.
